Lodge Chalets - 24 simple but very comfortable individual chalets nestle among Bird Island's coconut palms. Simplicity is the keyword at Bird Island Lodge - far removed from your standard over-priced and over-pampered luxury hotel. Each room has a king size bed, large shower room, separate toilet and spacious verandah. An overhead fan keeps the chalet cool. Bird Island offers barefoot relaxation and with just 30 staff, there are never more than 80 people on the island.

The Seychelles are world-renowned for their beautiful fiery red sunsets, which light the sky from one horizon to the other.
Nick Savy and Robbie are measuring, tagging and recording a Hawksbill Turtle's vital statistics. Robbie, our full-time Conservation Officer, is an important part of a Seychelles-wide turtle monitoring project.
Fresh fish can be found on the menu every day together with organic home-grown fruit and vegetables.
The colour of the seas around Bird Island have to be seen to be believed! Bird Island's north easterly beach - called Hirondelle Beach - is the prime place for snorkelling off the brightly coloured reef that protects the beach. With at most 40 other guests and five kilometres of white powder sand, this is your chance to enjoy your own private beach.
